We had to sell my mother's house, under power of attorney, after she went into a care home and needed the agent to fully manage the sale, because we live 100 miles away. Paul started by listening carefully to what we needed, then explained step by step how the property would be cleared and kept secure, as well as plans for advertising and an open day. Then he gave us a sensible valuation. His sensitive approach was in marked contrast to another agent who just kept pushing an aggressive valuation and ignored everything we said. Within 2 weeks of giving Robertson Phillips the go ahead, they had organised the open day, had 35 people at the property, and obtained a number of offers over the asking price. Sadly, just as we were ready to exchange, my mother died, which meant we had to wait for probate to complete the sale. During the inevitable delay, Paul made sure that the buyer did not lose interest, while Veena regularly phoned the solicitor to ensure the probate application was being progressed. It was a great relief, during a very difficult time, to know that we didn't have to worry about the property or the sale. Now that the sale is finally completed, I am delighted to recommend Robertson Phillips to anyone selling a property in the area.
